What is an error 52?
I keep getting an Error 52.
This error indicates that the ColorMetrix database file is missing or has changed locations. This error commonly occurs to users who have the file-open networking option of ColorMetrix, and have their database on a server.
The solution is to make sure that the ColorMetrix.mdb file is accessible through Windows. Perhaps the server wasn’t mounted. If the file is accessible, check to see if the path is exactly the same as is has always been.
The Error 52 has been fixed in ColorMetrix version 1.8.6. This version will revert to the local database when the remote database cannot be located. You can then locate the database through a File > Open.
